During January’s Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung revealed the highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series.
Some customers experienced camera difficulties, especially banding artifacts in photos, just as the Galaxy S25 series began delivering earlier this month. However, the newest Galaxy devices were released to the public at the same time.
Many people on Reddit and the Samsung Community have mentioned the issue, which seems to affect all three Galaxy S25 models.
The horizontal or vertical bars that interrupt the smooth color transitions in long-exposure and Night Mode photographs are a noticeable and unnatural effect of the camera issue. The impacted customers also submitted camera samples that demonstrated the issue.
People think that Samsung’s post-processing algorithms for long-exposure photography are to blame because other camera settings seemed to work fine.
However, Samsung has recognized the problem, called it a “limited number of cases,” and verified that a software repair has been released to resolve it.
South Korea is the first region to receive the update, and the rest of the world should see it soon.
To check if your Galaxy S25 has received the update, open your phone’s Settings app and navigate to the software update section. From there, select the option to check for updates, then tap “Download” and “Install” if an update is available. If you don’t see it yet, don’t worry, your device will receive the update in the coming days.
