Samsung Expands Galaxy AI to 22 Languages
Samsung is continuing to expand its Galaxy AI capabilities, this time adding Filipino and Gujarati to its growing list of supported languages. The update marks another step in Samsung’s mission to make its AI tools more accessible across diverse regions.
Galaxy AI initially launched in early 2024 and has steadily broadened its language portfolio since. By April 2024, the platform supported 16 languages, and that number climbed to 20 by December. With the latest additions, Galaxy AI now supports 22 languages in total, covering nearly 74% of the global population, around 5.9 billion people.
Both Filipino and Gujarati are now available for download as language packs through the Settings app. Filipino is spoken by about 87 million people, while Gujarati has roughly 62.5 million speakers. The new languages were developed through a joint effort by Samsung Research centers in Indonesia and India, reflecting the company’s regional collaboration approach.
Samsung says more than 70% of Galaxy S25 users actively use Galaxy AI and Google Gemini, while 47% rely on AI features heavily in daily tasks. Building on this momentum, the company aims to bring Galaxy AI to over 400 million devices by the end of 2025, after surpassing the 200 million mark last year.
