Samsung appears ready to bring back its Galaxy A7x lineup with a new model, the Galaxy A77, ending a quiet period since the A73 launched in 2022. The A7x series has been inactive for over a year, but recent sightings suggest the company is planning a revival.
A prototype of the Galaxy A77 has appeared on the Geekbench database, revealing 8GB of RAM and Android 16. The device runs on a previously unknown chipset linked to Samsung’s Exynos 2400 and 2400e. Based on its CPU clock configuration, the chip seems to target the upper-midrange segment rather than flagship performance.
The SoC features a deca-core CPU with three prime cores running at up to 2.78GHz, three performance cores clocked at 2.3GHz, and four efficiency cores at 1.82GHz. While its core count matches the Exynos 2400 and 2400e, the lower clock speeds suggest a more budget-conscious design. This could indicate Samsung is repurposing lower-tier Exynos 2400 chips to power the Galaxy A77 efficiently.
Other specifications for the Galaxy A77 remain undisclosed. If Samsung follows its usual schedule and launches the A77 alongside the Galaxy A57, which also appeared on Geekbench recently, both devices could debut around March. Expect more leaks and official announcements in the coming months.
