Samsung has confirmed the launch date of its Galaxy F70 5G, with the phone set to arrive on October 18. Flipkart has published a dedicated microsite for the device, revealing its key specifications. The price indicates that the phone will cost around $225.
Samsung launched the Galaxy F70e in February and introduced the Galaxy F70 Pro in August. Now, the standard Galaxy F70 is joining the lineup, following its recent appearance in Google’s database.
The Galaxy F70 5G will feature an FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus will protect the screen against damage. The phone will run on Samsung’s Exynos 1330 chipset.
For photography, the device will include a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). Samsung calls this feature the “No Shake Cam.” The rear camera setup also includes a 5MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. Meanwhile, a 13MP front camera will handle selfies and video calls.
The Galaxy F70 5G will pack a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging. Its body measures 7.5mm in thickness and offers dust and splash resistance. Buyers will be able to choose between Vivid Violet and Bold Black color options.

On the software side, Samsung has confirmed support for Circle to Search and Google Gemini. The phone will also offer Samsung Wallet with Tap and Pay, Quick Share, Voice Focus, and Knox security features. Samsung has also highlighted that its Galaxy F series is designed and manufactured locally.
However, the specifications suggest that the Galaxy F70 5G may not be an entirely new device. Its model number previously pointed to a possible connection with the Galaxy A17 5G. Moreover, the specifications revealed on Flipkart match that phone, including its 7.5mm thickness and rear camera setup.
This suggests that the Galaxy F70 5G could be a rebranded Galaxy A17 5G. Samsung followed a similar approach with the Galaxy F70e, which shares its hardware with the Galaxy A07 5G.
If the Galaxy F70 5G is based on the Galaxy A17 5G, it could also feature a 6.7-inch display with a 1080 x 2340 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone may offer up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It could also receive six major Android updates, although these details have not been confirmed on the microsite.
