Samsung Internet for Windows Expands Globally

Published by

Samsung is expanding its web browser beyond mobile for the first time. The company’s Internet browser, previously exclusive to Android devices, is now available for Windows users worldwide. The browser first launched in October as a beta, limited to Korea and the US, but that restriction has now been lifted.

The Windows version remains in beta, and Samsung has not announced when it might reach a full release. Still, this wider rollout suggests a stable launch could be approaching. Even if the official website mentions availability only in Korea and the US, the download button works globally.

Samsung Internet for Windows functions like other major browsers, such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera, and Vivaldi. It includes a built-in sync feature, allowing users to connect their Android devices to their Windows browser. With Samsung Pass, passwords are securely stored and synchronized, and users can continue browsing web pages seamlessly across devices.

This move positions Samsung Internet as a more serious competitor in the desktop browser market. Its cross-device features, strong security tools, and familiarity for Android users could make it a popular choice for those already in Samsung’s ecosystem.
