Samsung took the stage on February 25 to introduce the Galaxy S26 series. At the same launch event, the company also revealed its latest wireless earbuds, the Samsung Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro. The new audio lineup reflects a clear shift in focus. Samsung says 58% of its users wear earbuds every day, and most rely on a single pair for everything. So this time, the company put sound quality, comfort, and portability at the center of the design.
Samsung redesigned the charging case to make daily use easier. The buds now rest flat inside the case, so users can remove and store them quickly. The transparent lid remains, giving a clear view of the updated look.
The stems also received a noticeable refresh. Samsung replaced the triangular blades with flat stems made from brushed metal. The touch-sensitive area is now engraved, making it easier to locate by feel. Users can control playback and calls with pinch and swipe gestures.
The standard Galaxy Buds4 feature an open design. This approach improves comfort during long listening sessions. However, open designs usually offer weaker active noise cancellation. Samsung still includes Enhanced Adaptive ANC on both models. The system lowers engine noise while allowing important sounds, like sirens, to come through.
Sound quality shaped the Buds4 Pro most clearly. Samsung equipped the Galaxy Buds4 Pro with an upgraded 2-way speaker system. The woofer and tweeter are nearly 20% larger than those in the Buds3 Pro. As a result, the earbuds deliver stronger and clearer audio. They also support up to 24-bit 96kHz Hi-Fi sound for music playback.
Both models include Super Clear Call. This feature delivers 16kHz call audio and reduces background noise effectively. Samsung also added hands-free controls. Users can nod to accept calls or shake their heads to reject them.
The buds work with any smartphone. However, Galaxy users get deeper integration. The Buds4 connect to a Galaxy phone without requiring the app. The Quick Panel shows volume controls, ANC toggles, and ambient sound adjustments. Users can also activate Bixby to manage smart home devices. In addition, the Interpreter feature supports real-time translation across multiple languages.
Samsung will offer the Galaxy Buds4 in Black and White. The Buds4 Pro come in Black and White as well, with a Pink Gold option available online.
Pre-orders are still open. Both models will ship on March 11, the same day the Galaxy S26 series hits stores. The Galaxy Buds4 cost $180 / €180. The Galaxy Buds4 Pro retail for $250 / €250. Samsung kept pricing unchanged from the Buds3 and Buds3 Pro in 2024.
