Samsung Unveils Groundbreaking Flexible Briefcase Laptop At Mwc 2025

Samsung Display introduced its latest concept device, the ‘Flexible Briefcase’, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona. It is a revolutionary product that enables professionals and creative users to work on the go by functioning as both a portable laptop and briefcase.

The ‘Flexible Briefcase’ is equipped with an 18.1-inch QD-OLED display that produces a resolution of 2,000 x 2,664 pixels at 184 PPI.  In spite of its lower pixel density than the Galaxy Book4 Ultra’s 212 PPI, the device is distinguished by its large display and foldable ability.

The device serves as both a briefcase and a fashionable portable case due to the fact that its two handles merge into a single central point during closure.  Convenience and futuristic aesthetics are combined with enhanced usability through the arrangement of power and volume controls within the design.

The company has invested numerous years in the research and development of laptop designs with foldable screens.  In 2022, the organisation acquired numerous patents for dual-folding designs and introduced its laptop with a foldable screen, the Flex Note, prior to the current year.  Samsung utilises innovations from its previous products to create the Flexible Briefcase, which serves as a testament to their commitment to the advancement of portable computers.

Lenovo has provided the industry sector with experimental laptop development and a solar-powered computer design that converts sunlight exposure into one hour of video playback duration during twenty minutes of charging time.  The production of these devices exists only in prototype stage since Samsung has not announced any official launch dates.

While the Flexible Briefcase remains a concept, its unveiling underscores Samsung’s drive to redefine mobile computing. If commercialized, it could set a new standard for portable laptops, catering to professionals, creatives, and tech enthusiasts looking for a versatile, foldable computing solution.
