The Sindh School Education Department has banned teachers from using mobile phones inside classrooms, directing school heads to ensure strict compliance with the new policy.
According to the department, mobile phone use disrupts the teaching process and will now be treated as a violation of official conduct. Phones may only be used in cases of genuine official necessity or emergencies.
School heads have been instructed to closely monitor classrooms to ensure teachers adhere to the directive. Any unnecessary use of mobile phones during teaching hours will result in disciplinary action against the concerned teacher, in accordance with applicable regulations.
The move is aimed at improving classroom discipline and ensuring that teaching time is not compromised by avoidable distractions.
