Spotify Introduces Concerts Near You Playlist To Help Users Find Nearby Shows

Spotify has unveiled a new personalized playlist feature, “Concerts Near You,” aimed at helping users discover live music events happening in their area. The playlist, launched on Wednesday, is updated weekly and includes 30 songs from artists performing nearby, along with complete event details and ticket purchase links.

Spotify integrates major ticketing platforms like as AXS, DICE, Eventbrite, and Ticketmaster to make it easier for audience members to purchase concert tickets. Spotify’s “Concerts Near You” function, like its other personalised playlist features such as “Daylist” and “Mixes,” leverages user listening habits to propose playlists that fit individual musical interests.

Users must activate location sharing within the Live Events section under Search in their Spotify app to access the complete feature. Furthermore, learning to turn on push notifications and following preferred artists through the app will improve their concert notification and reminder experience.

Spotify’s “Concerts Near You” upgrade reflects the company’s increased emphasis on event discovery in order to improve exposure for both artists and consumers. Spotify released their “Loud & Clear” report to show payment figures after the announcement of this new feature. According to the published report artists who receive one million streams obtain an average payout exceeding $10,000 in 2024.

The upcoming playlist system will benefit both fans and artists by giving performance information to enthusiasts while increasing concert ticket sales for musicians.
