Spotify has unveiled its much-anticipated 2025 Wrapped, and Pakistan once again made its presence felt in a big way. The annual global music moment has returned with more depth, personalization, and cultural insight, and at the center of Pakistan’s story is Talha Anjum, who retains the crown as the country’s Top Local Artist for the second year in a row.
Spotify’s data shows a dramatic surge in Pakistan’s streaming appetite, with local music consumption rising 70%, a sign of a thriving, youth-driven soundscape shaped by both icons and emerging stars.
Alongside Anjum, Umair and Hasan Raheem secured top positions, while legends Atif Aslam and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan continued to command massive listenership.
Rising names including Maanu, Bayaan, Afusic, AliSoomroMusic, and Annural Khalid added momentum, showing how Pakistan’s evolving music identity blends eras and sounds.
The most streamed Pakistani track of the year was “Jhol” by Maanu and Annural Khalid, followed by the melodic hit “Pal Pal” by Afusic and AliSoomroMusic. “Maand” by Bayaan, Hasan Raheem, and Rovalio secured third place.
Rounding out the top five were “Departure Lane” by Talha Anjum and Umair, and “Wishes” by Hasan Raheem, Umair, and Talwiinder. Together, these tracks reflect a noticeable shift toward younger voices who are redefining Pakistan’s mainstream sound.
Safar by Bayaan led the Pakistani album charts, while hip-hop continued its ascent with standout releases such as My Terrible Mind, ROCKSTAR WITHOUT A GUITAR, and Open Letter, all driven by the Talha Anjum and Umair duo. With hip-hop growing 35 percent this year, its influence across the country is undeniable.
Fans also revisited modern staples like Imran Khan’s Unforgettable and Kaavish’s Gunkali, while embracing fresh drops such as Hasan Raheem’s Dil Kay Parday and Maanu’s thikaana.
This year’s Wrapped introduced new interactive features (Wrapped Party, Listening Archive, and Listening Age) crafted to turn private listening habits into communal, celebratory experiences. These enhance classic Wrapped metrics such as Top Songs, Top Artists, and Top Genres, making the experience more expressive and deeply personalized.
Eligible users can now access their individualized 2025 Wrapped exclusively through the Spotify mobile app on iOS and Android.
