Following a price hike of up to Rs120,000 in February 2025, the Suzuki Alto upgraded version has officially been launched by Pakistan Suzuki Motors Company (PSMC), confirming earlier speculations about new features. The refreshed hatchback, now available at dealerships across the country, brings several safety and convenience enhancements to justify the increase in cost.
According to reports, the Suzuki Alto upgraded version introduces a host of new features across all variants. These enhancements include repositioning of the back door emblem, the addition of a fasten seatbelt indicator, right front seatbelt pretensioner, front seatbelt reminder, ISOFIX lower anchor for child seats, and an updated back door garnish.
The VXR MT and VXR AGS variants now come equipped with power window switch illumination, front and rear power windows, a safety pinch guard for the driver-side window, and an auto up/down mechanism for added convenience. Specific upgrades have also been made per variant: the VXR MT now includes an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), while the AGS variant is fitted with side turn lamps for better visibility and road safety.
This update comes in the wake of public scrutiny over the car’s safety, which intensified after a video of a heavily damaged Suzuki Alto went viral. Rumors followed suggesting the car had been banned from motorways or was being discontinued. Both claims were swiftly dismissed by the authorities and the company.
