Telecom operators in Pakistan displayed mixed performance in voice, messaging, and internet services during the fourth-quarter 2025 Quality of Service survey conducted by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
Jazz topped voice call and SMS quality, while Zong led in internet speed, and Ufone and Telenor showed mixed performance during the nationwide Quality of Service assessment in Pakistan.
Voice Call Quality and SMS Reliability
Jazz achieved the highest voice quality score at 3.85 percent, followed by Zong at 3.76 percent, Telenor at 3.64 percent, and Ufone at 3.59 percent nationwide.
Ufone recorded the fastest call connection time at 3.6 percent, with Telenor second at 2.74 percent, Jazz at 2.6 percent, and Zong third at 2.51 percent in the survey.
Call connection ratios showed Ufone leading with 99.46 percent, followed by Jazz at 99.4 percent, Zong at 99.22 percent, and Telenor at 99.06 percent.
SMS performance revealed Telenor’s average send time at 3.41 seconds, Zong at 2.71 seconds, Jazz at 2.61 seconds, while SMS success rates were highest for Jazz at 99.49 percent, Zong 99.27 percent, Ufone 98.4 percent, and Telenor 98.01 percent.
Data Download and Upload Speeds
The download speed comparison showed clear differences among operators, with Jazz recording the highest average download speed of 30.83 Mbps.
Zong secured second position with 19.04 Mbps, followed by Ufone at 12.75 Mbps, while Telenor recorded 8.53 Mbps, placing fourth overall.
For upload speed experience, Zong recorded the highest upload speed at 19.16 Mbps, narrowly ahead of Jazz, which achieved 18.39 Mbps, reflecting strong network performance during the assessment.
Ufone ranked third with an average upload speed of 12.02 Mbps, while Telenor recorded the lowest upload speed of 5.56 Mbps, highlighting a noticeable performance gap in upload capacity.
Network latency was also measured across major cities, with Jazz recording 116 milliseconds, Telenor 75 milliseconds, Ufone 81 milliseconds, and Zong 101 milliseconds.
Higher latency directly affects mobile broadband performance by slowing response times, while Telenor delivered the lowest latency at 75 milliseconds, indicating comparatively faster network responsiveness among operators.
