Turkey’s Erdogan Gifts e-Cars to Pakistan PM Shehbaz and President Zardari

ISLAMABAD: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has gifted electric vehicles, proudly made in Türkiye, to President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, showcasing the strengthening bond between the two nations.
President Erdogan gifted the Togg T10X model, Türkiye’s domestically produced electric SUV, to both Pakistani leaders. A video captured Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Erdogan admiring the sleek black exterior of the vehicle. In the footage, Prime Minister Sharif is seen behind the wheel, with President Erdogan in the passenger seat, as they took the car for a test drive.
Similarly, First Lady Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari drove the Togg SUV, accompanied by President Erdogan and her father, President Asif Ali Zardari, showcasing the vehicle’s features to the media.
The Togg T10X represents a significant achievement in Türkiye’s automotive sector. Equipped with fast-charging capabilities, a range of 500 kilometers, and advanced safety systems, the vehicle underscores Türkiye’s commitment to innovation and sustainable transportation.
Beyond the exchange of vehicles, Pakistan and Türkiye signed twenty-four agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to enhance cooperation in various sectors, including defense, energy, trade, and education. These accords aim to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
President Erdogan’s visit to Pakistan was part of a broader diplomatic tour, which included stops in Malaysia and Indonesia. In each country, he presented the Togg electric vehicle to local leaders, highlighting Türkiye’s advancements in automotive technology and its commitment to fostering regional partnerships.
The exchange of gifts and the signing of multiple agreements during President Erdogan’s visit underscores the deepening ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, paving the way for enhanced collaboration in various fields.
