The Vivo V80 will launch on October 6. It will be offered in three colors: Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue, and Stellar Black. The Sunrise Anthem version has already been seen in real-world images. The design gives a closer look at the phone before its official launch. Vivo has also confirmed several key hardware details.
The vivo V80 features a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel can reach up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness. It can also lower its brightness to just 1 nit. The display supports 1.07 billion colors, which should help deliver smoother color transitions. A centered punch-hole cutout sits at the top of the screen. It houses a 50MP ZEISS Group Selfie Camera.
The rear camera setup includes three cameras developed with ZEISS. The main camera uses a 50MP sensor, while the telephoto camera also has a 50MP sensor. The telephoto camera offers 3x optical zoom for closer shots. Its sensor is the Sony IMX882, while the primary camera uses the Sony LYTIA 700V.
Both the primary and telephoto cameras support optical image stabilization. Vivo has not yet officially confirmed the resolution of the ultrawide camera. Sample photos taken with the primary camera show the phone’s imaging capabilities in real-world conditions. The images were captured in Bangkok, Thailand, using the vivo V80.
Beyond the camera hardware, the 6.59-inch OLED panel and 144Hz refresh rate remain key highlights. The 5,000-nit peak brightness also puts the display among the phone’s notable features. Vivo is expected to reveal more details around the launch. The company has already confirmed the phone’s main display and camera specifications ahead of the event.
