WECON Masawaat 2025 Launches on 26 Nov to Boost Women Entrepreneurs in Pakistan

WECON Masawaat 2025 is scheduled for 26 November 2025 at the Pak-China Friendship Centre in Islamabad. The one-day conference is organised by Change Mechanics Private Limited in partnership with the British Council and supported by a range of institutions, including Karandaaz Pakistan, Mobilink Bank, the Higher Education Commission, NAVTTC, TiE Islamabad, Fatima Jinnah Women University, and the All Pakistan Women Universities Consortium.

The WECON series began in 2017, with public conferences held in 2018, 2019, and most recently in 2024 (branded as WECON Reboot). There were no large-scale events between 2020 and 2023, mainly because of the COVID-19 pandemic and related funding issues. Since then, Change Mechanics has maintained a year-round community called the WECON Tribe, which now has over 300 active women entrepreneurs who take part in ongoing mentoring and peer-support activities.

This year’s event uses the Urdu word “Masawaat” (meaning equality or fairness) as its central theme. The programme is built around practical sessions rather than keynote speeches. Confirmed activities include Learning Labs on topics such as prompt engineering (run by Atomcamp), investor readiness (Accelerate Prosperity), and AI for entrepreneurs (Google Developer Groups). There are also Skill Clinics offering quick coaching on branding, product photography, and e-commerce setup, plus a Mentors’ Table for one-on-one or small-group advice using a card-matching system.

An Innovation Showcase and Entrepreneur Bazaar will give women-led businesses space to exhibit products and collect feedback. Policy Advocacy Dialogues will let participants question officials on registration, taxation, and export rules. An Impact & Insight Cinema will screen short documentaries and case studies, and 100 free website/domain packages will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Attendance is free but requires advance registration through separate links for delegates, labs, mentoring, exhibitors, and volunteers. The conference is open to women at any stage of business, as well as students, freelancers, educators, corporate professionals, and male allies.

Overall, Masawaat 2025 continues the WECON tradition of combining training, networking, and policy discussion in a single accessible event. While promotional materials sometimes describe an unbroken eight-year run, the series effectively paused for several years before resuming in 2024.

The 2025 edition is aiming to be a well-structured conference, staying true to the Islamic concept of “Masawaat”. You can find the the full agenda and registration available on the official site: wecon.pk.
