Will Islamabad and Rawalpindi Get Holidays from October 23-25? Traffic Route Details Emerge
Rumors about public holidays in Islamabad and Rawalpindi from October 23 to 25 have been making rounds on social media ahead of the Regional Transport Ministers Conference. However, authorities have confirmed that no holidays have been announced for the twin cities during the event.
According to Shaheryar Hassan, founder of Champ Alerts On The Go (CAOTG), delegations from various countries will attend the conference in Islamabad on October 23–24, 2025, leading to temporary road closures and diversions as officials move between the airport and the Red Zone.
He clarified that,
“No holiday is announced in twin cities for the conference. People are requested to refrain from spreading such news. If any official announcement is made, everyone will be informed.”
Authorities have advised commuters to plan ahead, as the conference and ongoing Pakistan vs South Africa Test matches are expected to cause heavy traffic jams across key routes. Students with exams have been urged to leave at least one to two hours early to reach safely and on time.
The public is encouraged to follow #ChampAlertsOnTheGo for verified updates and real-time traffic information during the event days.
