Woman Killed in Islamic University Bus Incident in Islamabad

Islamabad: A fatal accident in Faizabad on Wednesday resulted in the death of a woman after a government university bus collided with a motorcycle. The incident, which occurred within the I-9 police station’s jurisdiction, also left a man injured.

The bus belonged to the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), according to officials. The woman died instantaneously as a result of the severe impact, as reported by witnesses. The injured male was immediately transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

The bus driver escaped the scene subsequent to the incident. The university administration is in communication with law enforcement authorities, which include the traffic police and local police, who have initiated an investigation. Officials have confirmed that they are making every effort to apprehend the driver and pursue legal action.

In a separate incident, a man was apprehended by police in the Phulgran area of Islamabad on suspicion of assaulting his wife with a pointed object. According to authorities, the suspect fled after injuring his wife on February 23, but was tracked down and taken into custody.
