Fresh details about the Xiaomi 18 have begun to emerge online, providing a clearer picture of Xiaomi’s next flagship. A well-known tipster now claims the phone will bring notable hardware upgrades, including a new chipset and a redesigned camera system.
According to the source, the Xiaomi 18 will likely run on the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. This processor is expected to power several premium Android phones later this year. If accurate, it would mark a clear performance jump over the current generation.
The same source also shared new display information. The Xiaomi 18 may feature a 6.4-inch screen, which is slightly larger than the Xiaomi 17. This size increase could serve a practical purpose. Xiaomi may need more internal space for upgraded hardware.
For instance, the phone is rumored to include a larger battery. In addition, Xiaomi may introduce a new 200MP periscope telephoto camera. That would be a significant upgrade over the Xiaomi 17.
