Xiaomi has revealed the official design of its upcoming Redmi K90 Max after confirming its launch in China. At the same time, the company announced that the Xiaomi Redmi K Pad 2 will debut alongside the phone later this month. The latest updates give a clearer picture of both devices before their official unveiling.
The company shared the ‘Space Silver’ variant of the K90 Max on Weibo. The device carries a flat back panel and a camera layout similar to the K90 Pro Max. However, Redmi has made some noticeable changes to the hardware design.
Instead of a standard speaker grille, the K90 Max includes a larger grille for its built-in cooling fan. In addition, an air outlet vent sits just below the camera module. This design suggests a strong focus on thermal performance. The phone will also feature a dual rear camera setup.
Redmi claims the cooling fan is larger than those in rival devices. As a result, it can reduce internal temperature by up to 10 degrees within 100 seconds. Despite this active cooling system, the device will still support up to an IP69 rating, which highlights its durability.
Meanwhile, Redmi has also teased key details about the K Pad 2. The tablet will come with an 8.8-inch display and a 165Hz refresh rate. This combination should deliver smooth visuals for gaming and media use.

The K Pad 2 will run on the Dimensity 9500 flagship chipset. The company plans to offer the tablet in three color options. Furthermore, both the K90 Max and K Pad 2 are now available for reservation through the official Xiaomi online store.
With these announcements, Redmi is clearly targeting performance-focused users. More details are expected at the official launch event later this month.
