Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi Note 15 Special Edition after days of teasers. The device closely follows the Redmi Note 15 5G launched in China. It combines a 50MP main camera with a 5,800mAh battery, offering a balanced setup for daily use.
The phone comes in three color options: Crimson Reserve, Carbon Black, and Frosted White. Among these, the Crimson Reserve variant features a faux-leather back, which adds a more premium touch. The overall design remains familiar, yet it feels refined for its segment.
The Redmi Note 15 Special Edition runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, paired with an Adreno 710 GPU. This combination ensures stable performance for everyday tasks and light gaming. The device offers up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Users can also expand storage up to 1TB through a microSD card, which adds flexibility.
On the software side, the smartphone runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. It also includes an under-display fingerprint sensor for quick access. In addition, the phone carries IP55 and IP66 ratings along with MIL-STD-810H certification, which improves durability. Other features include an infrared sensor and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, enhancing the overall experience.
For connectivity, the device supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, 5G, and dual 4G VoLTE. These options ensure reliable connections across different networks.
In terms of cameras, the Redmi Note 15 Special Edition features a 50MP primary sensor. This is different from the global Redmi Note 15 5G, which uses a 108MP camera. The rear setup also includes a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. On the front, the phone carries a 20MP camera for selfies and video calls.
The device houses a 5,800mAh battery, matching the China variant of the Redmi Note 15 5G. It supports 45W fast charging, allowing users to recharge quickly when needed. Pricing starts at $215 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 8GB/128GB model is priced at $235, while the 8GB/256GB option costs $250.
