Telltale Games has officially confirmed a massive feature for returning fans. The choices you make in The Wolf Among Us Remastered will fully carry over into the highly anticipated sequel.
The remastered edition officially launched on October 29. It is currently available on PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Consequently, players can now ensure their defining decisions have long-term consequences in The Wolf Among Us 2.
How the Carry-Over System Works
To transfer your progress, you simply need to sign into a Telltale Account while playing the newly released remaster. The system will then save your progress and carry your defining choices forward.
Alternatively, you can skip the remaster entirely. Fans can simply wait for the sequel and manually select their “past choices” right at the start of the game. Therefore, you do not absolutely need a previous playthrough.
However, playing the remaster offers a fresh trip back through Fabletown. The original game first launched back in October 2013. It introduced audiences to a gritty, alternate-reality 1980s New York City based on the popular DC comic book series, Fables. Players control Bigby Wolf, the notorious detective inspired by the Big Bad Wolf. Here, you must investigate a series of gruesome murders.
Visual Upgrades & Enhancements in Wolf Among Us Remastered
Over a decade later, the game looks better than ever. Early reviews praise the remaster for its noticeable visual enhancements. Developers upgraded the iconic cell-shaded art style and significantly improved character animations. While some slight technical hiccups exist, developers will likely patch these out in the future.
Ultimately, the remaster preserves the original story and classic Telltale gameplay progression. Fans generally agree this is now the definitive way to experience Bigby Wolf’s tale.
What to Expect in The Wolf Among Us 2
Audiences finally received early details regarding the sequel at Summer Game Fest 2026. The new game will introduce a completely new cast of characters. Furthermore, Telltale is abandoning its typical episodic format. Instead, The Wolf Among Us 2 will launch as a full, singular release. Players can expect an estimated 8-to-12 hours of playtime.
Currently, the studio has not revealed an exact release date. Nevertheless, we know the sequel drops in 2027. In the meantime, you can jump back into The Wolf Among Us Remastered and start preparing your choices for the next big mystery.
