ZTE nubia RedMagic 11 Air Launches in China with Slim Gaming Design

Published by

ZTE’s nubia RedMagic 11 Air has officially arrived in China, combining the trend for slim, lightweight phones with high-performance gaming features. The device stands out with its transparent design, active cooling fan with RGB lights, and last year’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Elite chipset.

The 11 Air bridges the gap between a sleek daily driver and a serious gaming phone. It keeps the classic RedMagic DNA while offering a lighter, thinner package than previous models.

Immersive Display and Fingerprint Sensor

The phone sports a 6.85-inch AMOLED display with a 1,216 x 2,688 pixel resolution. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and comes protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Gamers and multimedia users will also appreciate the 16MP under-display selfie camera and optical fingerprint scanner, which keep the front panel clean and uninterrupted.

Gaming Features and Memory Performance

True to its gaming roots, the RedMagic 11 Air includes capacitive shoulder triggers for an improved gaming experience. It packs up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM with 9,600 MB/s memory bandwidth. Storage tops out at 512GB UFS 4.1, offering read speeds of 4,200 MB/s, ensuring fast app loading and smooth multitasking.

Design, Cooling, and Durability

Despite its gaming focus, the 11 Air measures just 7.85mm in thickness and weighs 207 grams. It still houses a spinning fan capable of 24,000 RPM, keeping the device cool under heavy use. Additionally, the phone carries an IP54 rating, protecting it against dust and water splashes.

Battery and Software

Powering the phone is a 7,000mAh battery with 120W wired charging support, capable of fast top-ups. The device runs RedMagic OS 11.0, which is based on Android 16, offering a familiar and smooth software experience.

Camera Setup

On the back, the RedMagic 11 Air features a dual-camera setup. The main 50MP camera has a 23mm equivalent lens, a 1/1.55” sensor, and optical image stabilization (OIS). It is paired with an 8MP ultrawide sensor for wider shots.

Price and Availability

The 11 Air is available in Quantum Black and Stardust White. The 12GB/256GB variant starts at CNY 3,499 ($502), while the 16GB/512GB model costs CNY 4,199 ($602). Both are listed on Nubia’s official online store, though international launch details remain unannounced.

With its balance of slim design, gaming features, and strong hardware, the ZTE nubia RedMagic 11 Air positions itself as a unique choice for mobile gamers who want power without bulk.
