During Monday’s inauguration of Donald Trump, Mark Zuckerberg appeared momentarily distracted by Lauren Sánchez’s wealth.
At the event in Washington, DC’s Capitol Rotunda, the Facebook CEO was seen gazing at the philanthropist’s bosom while she and her fiancé, Jeff Bezos, spoke with Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law.
Sánchez didn’t seem to notice that Zuckerberg was looking around, even though they were sitting next to each other at the event.
Footage of Zuckerberg’s seemingly wandering eye quickly caught social media‘s attention, with some sharp-eyed viewers joking that perhaps the Facebook titan “is human after all?”
“Mark Zuckerberg is ready to risk it all for Jeff Bezos’ fiancée at the inauguration,” another quipped.
“What a dog,” one commenter said bluntly.
Social media users didn’t hold back on criticizing Sanchez either, questioning her choice of attire.
The former TV reporter revealed her outfit — which appeared to be a $1,800 Alexander McQueen satin-trimmed bustier — when she removed her white coat after taking her seat inside the Rotunda.
“Good grief, Lauren Sanchez. Put them away for one day,” one critic wrote on X.
“Just when I was luxuriating in the beauty and class of [Melania Trump], in walks Lauren Sanchez wearing only a bra,” another remarked.
The author of “Fly Who Flew to Space” spoke at the opening ceremony while wearing a winter white jumpsuit by Alexander McQueen, with a lace top showing underneath.
The 55-year-old Sánchez wore her 20-carat engagement ring from Bezos as an accessory with her dark hair pulled back into a loose bun.
The majority of the males in her vicinity, including the 40-year-old Zuckerberg and the 61-year-old CEO of Amazon, were dressed in blue and black suits, making the former news anchor stand out.
At Trump’s inauguration, where he was sworn in as the 47th president, several famous people were present, such as influencers Jake and Logan Paul, Elon Musk, and Carrie Underwood.
Meanwhile, Sánchez’s stunning appearance follows her Saturday night’s head-turning strapless Dolce & Gabbana gown at the National Building Museum’s pre-inauguration dinner.
She posted a number of photos to Instagram with the caption “Magical evening.”
The best-selling novelist, who is notorious for her daring fashion choices, was spotted shopping in St. Barts earlier this month, wearing a pink cutout mini dress.
Sánchez celebrated the new year in a very small bikini while sailing in the Caribbean on Bezos’ $500 million boat.
Subsequently, she wore a skimpy silver gown and expressed her anticipation of “a year of continued growth” in 2025 on Instagram.
After dating for some time (starting in 2019), Sánchez and Bezos became engaged in May 2023.
No wedding date has been announced by the pair just yet. There were rumors circulating last month that the billionaire and his fiancée were planning a lavish $600 million wedding in Aspen, Colorado, but he denied the rumors.
He wrote on X, “This whole thing is completely false — none of this is happening.”
