Pakistan Introduces Mobile E-Visa App for Hassle-Free Travel

The Ministry of Interior has announced the launch of a Pakistan mobile e-visa application to make travel to the country easier. This new system simplifies obtaining a Pakistani visa, making it more accessible through smartphones.

Previously, applicants could apply for a visa online, but the service is now transitioning to a modern, digital mobile platform. Officials said that the new application will streamline the e-visa process and benefit all travelers to Pakistan.

The mobile e-visa application is set to officially launch on January 31st, with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) having completed all necessary preparations.

Where Does Pakistan Rank Among the World’s Strongest Passports in 2025?

According to the Henley Passport Index for the first half of 2025, Pakistan’s passport ranks among the weakest globally, positioned at 103rd alongside Yemen. Holders of a Pakistani passport can access only 33 destinations without obtaining a prior visa.

In contrast, Singapore leads the index, with its citizens enjoying visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 195 destinations.

Japan follows, granting visa-free entry to 193 countries. South Korea, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Finland share the third position, each offering access to 192 destinations without prior visas.
