Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its next flagship lineup, the Galaxy S26 series, which is expected to debut in January next year. The upcoming series is reportedly set to include four models: the Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
According to a new report, the Galaxy S26 Pro is expected to feature Samsung’s latest Exynos 2600 chipset. This information has now been verified by SamMobile, which claims to have found strong evidence confirming the chipset’s inclusion. However, Samsung is expected to equip the US and China variants with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC instead.
Reports suggest Samsung may adopt the same regional chipset strategy for the Galaxy S26+. Interestingly, the Plus model was previously removed from the S26 lineup. But the company has reportedly resumed its development after the Galaxy S25 Edge recorded weaker-than-expected sales.
The Exynos 2600 is set to make history as the world’s first 2 nm mobile chip. It will feature a deca-core CPU built in a 1+3+6 configuration, aiming to deliver better efficiency and performance. Mass production of the Exynos 2600 reportedly began last month, signaling Samsung’s readiness for its next-generation Galaxy S series.
