State Bank of Pakistan to Remain Closed on December 25
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will remain closed on Thursday, December 25, 2025. The central bank recently confirmed this schedule in a new update.
The SBP’s Banking Policy & Regulations Department issued a circular notification to announce this closure. Therefore, the bank will suspend operations for the day. This decision aligns strictly with the holiday declared by the Government of Pakistan.
This public holiday marks two significant events. First, the nation observes Quaid-e-Azam Day. Additionally, the holiday celebrates the occasion of Christmas. Operations will resume following this scheduled break.
