Pakistan has finalized visa exemption agreements with dozens of allied countries, granting visa-free entry primarily to holders of diplomatic and official passports.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and its regional zones have been directed to implement the arrangements based on an updated list of participating countries.
Under the agreements, the permitted duration of visa-free stay varies by country, ranging from one month to three months.
The list of countries covered includes Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh and Turkiye. It also includes Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Kuwait, Malaysia, Russia and Saudi Arabia.
Additional signatories include the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Qatar and Nepal, among others.
The exemptions apply specifically to diplomatic and official passport holders, rather than the general public traveling on ordinary passports.
