SBP, PSEB Introduce Special Banking Desks to Support IT Exporters

Pakistan’s banking and technology sectors are converging as new steps aim to enhance financial access for IT exporters. The Pakistan Software Export Board is working with the State Bank of Pakistan to expand banking support for the IT industry. As part of this effort, selected consumer banking branches will host dedicated desks for IT exporters. These desks will focus on faster services and clearer guidance for companies operating in the tech sector.

The initiative includes support under the Exporters’ Special Foreign Currency Account framework. This move is expected to simplify transactions and improve compliance for IT firms. Details of the designated branches have already been shared, allowing exporters to plan their banking needs more efficiently.
