Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 2700 has reportedly outperformed Qualcomm’s latest flagship chips in internal performance tests. The results suggest that Samsung could deliver a major performance boost with its next-generation processor.
The latest tests allegedly compared the Exynos 2700 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. The chip is expected to power at least some models in the Galaxy S27 series, which should launch early next year.
According to the reported results, the Exynos 2700 scored around 13,000 points in Geekbench 6.5’s multi-core CPU test. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 reportedly scored around 11,000 points, giving Samsung’s chip an advantage of about 20%.
The Exynos 2700 also reportedly led by around 15% in Geekbench 7.0. Compared with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 in the Xiaomi 18 Pro, Samsung’s processor showed even larger leads of 44% and 36% in the respective benchmarks.
Samsung’s chip reportedly performed better in graphics tests as well. It delivered around 20% higher peak performance than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 in demanding games using the latest graphics technologies. Its baseline performance was also about 5% higher in regular high-end 3D games, although further testing details remain unavailable.
The current Exynos 2600 powers some Galaxy S26 models and the Galaxy Z Flip8. Its successor is reportedly being developed using Samsung Foundry’s second-generation 2nm manufacturing process, known as SF2P.
Samsung is also said to have improved the chip’s Heat Path Block (HPB) packaging. This could help control temperatures while improving performance under demanding workloads.
However, these figures reportedly come from internal testing and have not been independently verified. Real-world performance, power efficiency, and thermal behavior will become clearer once retail Galaxy S27 devices reach the market.
