BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), has once again secured the global sales championship in 2025 after delivering more than 4.6 million vehicles worldwide, underlining its growing dominance driven by innovation, quality, and customer trust.
As part of its expanding international footprint, BYD also achieved a major milestone as overseas sales crossed 1 million units in a single year for the first time. Industry observers say the surge reflects rising global acceptance of BYD’s electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles across diverse markets.
Commenting on the achievement, Lei Jian, Country Head of BYD Pakistan, said 2025 has been a defining year for BYD, with exceptional acceptance not only in China but across international markets. He added that since launching in Pakistan in 2024, models such as the BYD ATTO 3, BYD SEAL, and BYD SHARK 6 have received an overwhelming response from customers seeking advanced and sustainable mobility solutions.
Founded in 2003, BYD Auto focuses on accelerating the global green transition by developing pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The company has mastered key NEV technologies including Blade Battery, DM-i and DM-p hybrid systems, e-Platform 3.0, CTB, iTAC, and DiSus Intelligent Body Control. BYD also made history as the first global carmaker to end fossil-fuel vehicle production, remaining China’s top NEV seller for the past decade.
