The Sindh government will pay March salaries, pensions, and allowances early for Muslim employees and pensioners, aiming to provide financial relief ahead of Eid ul Fitr festivities.
All Muslim government employees and pensioners, including those in work-charged and contingent paid posts, will receive their full pay and allowances on March 16, 2026.
The move ensures families have funds for Eid shopping and celebrations, offering financial relief as the Shawwal moon sighting is expected to mark Eid ul Fitr on March 20 or 21.
This initiative reflects the commitment of government to supporting public servants and pensioners by providing timely access to salaries and pensions.
The federal and Punjab governments have also announced that March 2026 salaries and pensions will be paid in advance to provide financial relief to employees and retirees ahead of Eid ul Fitr celebrations.
In Punjab, the finance department confirmed that government workers and pensioners will receive their March pay on March 16, earlier than the usual schedule, helping families prepare for Eid without financial difficulties.
Officials have asked all departments to finish payroll and pension processing on time so that employees’ and pensioners’ accounts receive funds promptly before the Eid holiday begins.
Employees and pensioners have welcomed the decision, saying that receiving their salaries and pensions early will help them manage Eid expenses and reduce financial pressure during the festive season.
