A prominent businessman and Toyota Motors CEO in Islamabad, Aamir Safdar Awan, was shot dead during a robbery attempt at his farmhouse in Islamabad, late at night yesterday.
According to reports, the incident occurred late at night in the Chak Shehzad area, within the jurisdiction of Shahzad Town police station. Five armed assailants allegedly broke into Awan’s residence and opened fire while he was asleep in his bedroom.
He was critically injured and rushed to Shifa International Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries on Monday evening.
Awan was the CEO of Toyota Islamabad’s Aabpara office, making the incident not only a personal tragedy but also a significant loss to the local business community.
Police sources confirmed that CCTV footage of the robbery has surfaced, and an investigation is currently underway to identify and apprehend those responsible.
