Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat approved online classes for all schools, colleges, and universities to ensure uninterrupted learning across the province.
The move aims to maintain educational activities amid current circumstances, praising students, teachers, and parents for their cooperation and patience during the adjustment.
A notification from the Punjab Education Department confirmed that schools will remain closed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, reducing the academic week to four teaching days only.
The notification clarified that the Friday closure applies to both government and private schools, while regular school hours from Monday to Thursday will remain from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm.
Double-shift schools will operate a single shift from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, while second-shift schools will continue classes from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm, the notification added.
