The Consulate General of Pakistan, Sydney has launched the Australia-Pakistan Emerging Scholars Network, a new initiative aimed at supporting Pakistani students aspiring to pursue higher education in Australia.
The program is designed to connect Pakistani students already studying in Australia with those planning to move abroad, creating a mentorship platform to guide applicants through the entire process from university admissions to adjusting to life overseas.
According to officials, the network will allow experienced students to share insights on academic requirements, visa processes, accommodation, and day-to-day challenges. The initiative seeks to reduce uncertainties faced by new students and provide practical, first-hand guidance.
As part of the rollout, the consulate will host its first virtual mentoring session on April 29, 2026, at 7:30 PM (AST). The session will bring together settled Pakistani students in Australia and prospective applicants for an interactive discussion and Q&A.
The consulate has invited students interested in joining the session to register by submitting their details via email. Officials said the initiative reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen educational ties and support the Pakistani student community abroad.
The launch of the Scholars Network marks a step toward building a structured support system for Pakistani students, helping them make informed decisions and transition more smoothly into academic life in Australia.
