The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has announced that the next quarterly instalment under Benazir Kafaalat will be paid exclusively through digital wallets across Pakistan.
As per the details, beneficiaries who have not yet registered a SIM card will not receive the upcoming payment, with June 15 set as the final deadline for obtaining one.
Women without SIM cards are advised to visit their nearest BISP office, bringing their personal mobile phone, to collect a free SIM card before the announced deadline.
E-Katcheri Session
BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid chaired a one-hour live E-Katcheri session at BISP headquarters in Islamabad, attended by Director Generals and other senior officials.
During the session, 27 callers from across the country connected directly with the Chairperson and presented their individual complaints and concerns to her in real time.
Senator Khalid directed concerned authorities to resolve all issues within the stipulated timeframe, stating that no negligence in handling beneficiary complaints would be tolerated.
Biometric Verification & Fraud Warning
Beneficiaries facing difficulties with thumb verification are advised to visit NADRA offices for facial verification and obtain a certificate, available for a fee of Rs 20.
Upon submitting the NADRA facial verification certificate at a BISP office, affected beneficiaries will be able to receive their payments without further biometric complications.
BISP confirmed that 8171 is its only official contact number, and any message received from a different number must be treated as fraudulent and reported.
Survey & Recertification Rules
Beneficiaries who have completed a survey are not eligible for a re-survey for a minimum period of two years following the date of their original assessment.
Those who have received stipends continuously for three years are required to undergo a full recertification process, also referred to as a re-survey, to continue receiving payments.
