Fast Cables Limited (PSX: FCL) has merged its two manufacturing units in Lahore as part of a strategic move to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, the company announced in a filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The company confirmed that its Unit 1, located at Canal Bank, Main Jallo Road, Harbans Pura, has been consolidated with Unit 2 at Sundar Industrial Road, Raiwind, Lahore.
The decision follows recent capacity expansion and modernization efforts aimed at streamlining operations and improving resource utilization.
Fast Cables expects the consolidation to generate annual savings of approximately Rs. 100 million. The move is also projected to:
- Improve quality assurance
- Speed up production cycles
- Enhance operational efficiency across the value chain
The integration will allow both units to function as a unified and coordinated manufacturing operation.
The company stated that the consolidation will better position it to meet increasing customer demand and support higher production volumes in the future.
Fast Cables is among Pakistan’s leading manufacturers of electrical cables and wires, supplying products to the power, construction, and infrastructure sectors. The company was incorporated in 2008 and is listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
The move reflects a broader trend among industrial firms focusing on operational optimization to maintain competitiveness and improve profitability.
