New details about the upcoming Honor Magic9 Pro Max have surfaced online, giving a better look at what Honor may offer in its next flagship phone. According to a new leak from China, the phone could feature a 6.8-inch to 6.89-inch LTPO OLED display. The screen is expected to support “1.5K” resolution and come with 2.5D curved glass. The report also points to premium hardware across the device.
On the camera side, Honor may introduce a 200MP main sensor with a 1/1.28-inch sensor size. In addition, the phone could include a 200MP periscope telephoto camera for long-range zoom shots. These upgrades suggest the company is focusing heavily on mobile photography.
The leak also claims the device will support an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and 3D face unlocking. Meanwhile, high-power wireless charging and strong water resistance are also expected.
Powering the smartphone will reportedly be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. However, it is still unclear whether Honor will use the standard Gen 6 version or the Gen 6 Pro variant.
Battery life could become one of the biggest highlights of the phone. The report says the battery capacity will fall between 8,000 mAh and 8,999 mAh. At this stage, the exact figure remains unknown, but sources say the number will begin with 8.
Honor introduced the Magic8 lineup in October last year. Because of that, industry watchers expect the Magic9 series to arrive around the same period this year.
