Honor has confirmed that the new Honor 600 series will launch in China on May 25. The company revealed the launch date through Weibo and also opened pre-orders for both smartphones in the country.
The upcoming lineup includes the Honor 600 and the Honor 600 Pro. Alongside the launch date, Honor also shared the design, color options, and storage variants of the devices. However, the company still has not revealed the complete hardware details.
This time, Honor has introduced a noticeable design change for the Chinese variants. Unlike the global models, the Chinese versions feature a new rear camera layout. The global Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro come with a rectangular camera island. In contrast, the Chinese variants use a pill-shaped horizontal camera module.
The standard Honor 600 will include a dual rear camera setup. Meanwhile, the Honor 600 Pro will feature a triple-camera system led by a 200MP primary sensor.
Honor is also bringing bigger batteries to the Chinese models. The Honor 600 Pro will pack an 8,000mAh battery, which is larger than the 7,000mAh unit found in the global version. On the other hand, the standard Honor 600 will carry an even larger 8,600mAh battery.
The smartphones have already appeared on Honor’s online store in China. The Honor 600 will arrive in 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB storage options. Buyers will get four color choices, including Lucky Star, Obsidian Black, Light Feature Blue, and Green Apple.
Meanwhile, the Honor 600 Pro will be available in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/512GB variants. It will also come in the same color options as the standard model.
