Pakistan Railways Pakistan Railways is set to relaunch a modernized version of the Awam Express ahead of Eid ul Adha as part of broader efforts to improve railway services and passenger facilities across the country.
Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi said the Awam Express is being fully upgraded and will be reintroduced for public service before Eid. According to the minister, the revamped train will be formally inaugurated on May 24.
He stated that the upgraded service is designed to provide passengers with a more comfortable, faster, and higher-quality travel experience. The minister added that the train, especially on routes to Karachi, will complete its journey in less time than previously.
Hanif Abbasi said the government is focusing on the modernization of railway infrastructure and the improvement of travel facilities through safer and better-quality transport services.
He further noted that the railway reform and upgradation process is continuing nationwide, adding that additional premium train services from major cities are also planned in the future to offer passengers improved travel options.
