The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced a financial relief package for journalists ahead of Eid ul-Azha, granting Rs100,000 to each Peshawar Press Club member.
According to the media reports, the Peshawar Press Club governing body unanimously approved the Eid ul-Azha cash relief initiative.
Each member of the Peshawar Press Club will receive Rs100,000 as part of the approved package, representing a notable financial allocation ahead of the upcoming Eid ul-Azha celebrations.
Press club employees have also been included in the relief package, with each staff member set to receive Rs30,000 as part of the comprehensive Eid financial support initiative.
Police personnel deployed for security at the Peshawar Press Club will each receive Rs20,000 as an honorarium, extending the financial support to all associated security staff.
Peshawar Press Club President M. Riaz has formally expressed appreciation to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi for approving this special financial grant for journalists.
President Riaz also extended gratitude to the Chief Minister’s Special Assistant for Information Shafi Jan, and Secretary Information Matiullah Khan, for facilitating this Eid relief announcement.
The package covers journalists, employees, and security personnel connected to the press club, making it a broad financial initiative timed ahead of the Eid ul-Azha holiday.
