OnePlus is working on its next smartphone in the Ace lineup after launching the Ace 6 in October last year. The company has already started development on the OnePlus Ace 7, according to a source on Weibo.
The upcoming device is currently in the engineering sample stage, which means early testing is underway. However, the final design and features may still change before launch. Early details suggest the OnePlus Ace 7 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This chipset is expected to deliver high-end performance for gaming and heavy tasks.
The phone is also said to include a 6.78-inch display with 1.5K resolution. In addition, the refresh rate is not finalized yet. It may be at least 185Hz and could go as high as 240Hz. Power backup is expected to be a major highlight. The device may pack a large 9,000 mAh battery. It will likely support 100W fast wired charging for quick top-ups.
Meanwhile, earlier reports hinted at an active cooling fan inside the phone. This feature is still being tested. However, OnePlus has not made a final decision on its inclusion. If the company follows its usual timeline, the OnePlus Ace 7 could launch around October. That would give more time for additional leaks and confirmations in the coming months.
