The Federal Ministry of Education confirmed new salaries and facilities for the Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) following approval from the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The notification stated the basic monthly salary of the HEC Chairman has increased from Rs one million to Rs 1.1 million, alongside entitlement to 20 percent house rent.
Documents also confirmed house rent between Rs 200,000 and Rs 250,000 monthly, while Rs 100,000 to Rs 120,000 will be allocated for utility bills.
The Chairman will receive unlimited petrol, a government vehicle, and a driver, with permission to use the vehicle for both official and private purposes.
Travel allowances for domestic and foreign visits will be provided according to rules, while full medical facilities will be available through government and panel hospitals.
The notification confirmed eligibility for leave under HEC law, with one month’s salary paid as gratuity upon completion of each year of service.
