Tecno has confirmed the launch date of its upcoming Tecno Pova 8 5G, which will arrive in India on June 11 at 12 PM local time. The announcement sets the stage for the brand’s next mid-range 5G smartphone aimed at performance-focused users. After its debut in the Indian market, the device is also expected to launch in Pakistan.
The company also shared a short teaser video that offers a first look at the device’s design. The phone features a small dot matrix display on the rear side, placed inside the camera island. This design choice clearly takes inspiration from Nothing phones, especially with the semi-transparent style on the back panel.
In addition, the rear design includes engraved details that reveal key hardware information. One of the most notable highlights is its massive 8,000 mAh battery. This makes it one of Tecno’s largest batteries so far. It also matches the capacity seen on the Pova Curve 2.
The Tecno Pova 8 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset. Previous Geekbench listings have confirmed this processor. The device will come in 6GB and 8GB RAM options. It will also offer 128GB and 256GB storage variants.
Furthermore, the smartphone will run Android 16 right out of the box. This gives users the latest software experience from day one. On the charging side, FCC certification confirms support for 45W wired fast charging.
Overall, the Tecno Pova 8 5G brings a large battery, modern design, and updated software in a single package. The launch will reveal more details, but early information already highlights a focus on endurance and performance.
