The Balochistan government has revoked all fuel conservation and austerity measures that were enforced from 10 March 2026, while retaining existing regulations on business operating hours.
A notification issued by the Secretary of the Services and General Administration Department confirms the withdrawal of all additional austerity restrictions.
A separate notification governing business hours remains in effect.
Under the revised framework, markets, bazaars, and shopping malls are required to close by 9pm. Wedding halls and marquees may operate until 10pm, while restaurants, cafes, and food outlets are permitted to remain open until 11pm.
Fruit, vegetable, grocery, and general stores are also allowed to trade until 11pm.
The notification exempts several categories of businesses from operating hour restrictions. These include pharmacies, hospitals, laboratories, and clinics. Bakeries, tandoors, milk shops, and dairy outlets are similarly exempt.
Petrol pumps, CNG stations, and electric vehicle charging stations are also excluded from the restrictions, as are gymnasiums, sports facilities, padel courts, IT companies, and call centres.
