Apple has announced a new iPad mini ahead of its October 28 event, but more product launches could follow this week. The company’s latest tablet features an OLED display and the A20 Pro chipset. Greg Joswiak, Apple’s SVP of Worldwide Marketing, has also hinted at more announcements.
In a post on X, Joswiak called it an “exciting week” and described the new iPad mini as its biggest update ever. The tablet features an 8.5-inch OLED display with a 1512 x 2316 resolution. It also offers an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance in a 5.4mm-thin body.
It’s going to be an exciting week, and it starts with our all-new iPad mini.
Thinner and lighter than ever, with an OLED display, water and dust resistance, better audio, powered by A20 Pro… it’s the biggest update ever to iPad mini! https://t.co/myg4BtuKQD

Meanwhile, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman believes Apple could announce more products before Wednesday’s event. He noted that the company has increasingly used a three-day announcement schedule ahead of its Wednesday events. Apple followed a similar approach before its March 4 event, which introduced the MacBook Neo.
According to Gurman, Apple could unveil an M6-powered iMac and MacBook Pro tomorrow. The company may then introduce its touchscreen MacBook Pro on Wednesday. This timeline also matches his earlier report about Apple’s planned product announcements this week.
The expected launches reportedly include touchscreen MacBooks, the OLED iPad mini, and the M6-powered 14-inch MacBook Pro and iMac. However, Apple has not confirmed the full announcement schedule. More details should emerge over the next few days as the company reveals its upcoming products.
