Passengers aboard private airline flight PA-2766, bound for Madinah, staged a protest near the runway at New Islamabad International Airport after the flight suffered repeated delays due to a technical fault.
This marked the first such incident at the New Islamabad International Airport involving a private airline operating on the Saudi Arabia route.
The flight was scheduled to depart at 1:00 PM. After boarding, passengers were held on the aircraft as the technical issue caused multiple postponements.
Passengers said they had arrived at the airport several hours before the scheduled departure time, only to face successive delays with no resolution.
