Following the historic telecom merger, Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (PTML), currently operating under the brand name Ufone, has officially taken over the Telenor Pakistan Headquarters. This iconic campus, famously known as ‘345’, sits in Gulberg Greens, Islamabad. While PTML utilizes the Ufone brand for now, the combined operator might change its identity to ‘e&’ later during the integration phase.
This physical transition marks a massive milestone after the Islamabad High Court recently approved the Scheme of Amalgamation on June 30, 2026. You can read more details about the legal clearances in our previous coverage of the Ufone-Telenor merger’s final phase.
An Architectural Masterpiece in Gulberg Greens
The state-of-the-art facility is located at Plot No. 55, River View Avenue, Block-B, Gulberg Greens, Islamabad. Telenor Pakistan originally inaugurated this green campus back in 2017. Crucially, the construction of the massive facility cost between $75 million and $80 million. The firm Arcop (Pvt) Ltd designed the campus with a strict focus on sustainability-conscious architecture.
Furthermore, the name “345” directly originates from Telenor’s mobile dialing prefix. The campus sits on a sprawling 15-acre undulating site. Notably, it stands out as one of the largest rammed-earth structures across South Asia. This specific choice of building material naturally minimizes heat gain inside the offices. Additionally, the layout features central water bodies and unique step-wells, which the architects directly inspired by traditional baolis.
PTML Takes Charge Of A Sustainable Legacy
Currently, the complex comfortably accommodates over 1,200 employees. Inside, staff members work within agile and highly collaborative “work zones”. Moreover, the facility heavily integrates modern eco-friendly technologies. For instance, it incorporates advanced renewable energy systems like solar power alongside rainwater harvesting setups.
Because of this climate-responsive design, the campus has won prestigious global honors over the years. Specifically, it earned high acclaim at the World Architecture Festival and the 2A Continental Architectural Awards. As PTML assumes control of the property, this award-winning facility will transition into a core asset for the expanding telecom network.
