Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Monday, moving back above the Rs. 460,000 per tola level following a rise in international gold prices.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold increased by Rs. 2,000 per tola to reach Rs. 461,936.
The price of 10-gram gold also rose by Rs. 1,715, reaching Rs. 396,035.
Gold prices also gained in the international market at the start of the week. The international price increased by $20 to $4,395 per ounce. The rise in global gold prices contributed to the increase in domestic rates.
Gold had declined by Rs. 500 per tola on Saturday, falling to Rs. 459,936 before recovering on Monday.
Silver prices also recorded an increase in Pakistan. According to APGJSA data, the price of silver rose by Rs. 80 per tola, reaching Rs. 7,029 on Monday.
The latest movement in gold and silver prices reflects continued changes in both domestic and international precious metals markets.
