Sindh Governor Syed Nihal Hashmi on Monday inaugurated a modern NADRA Mega Centre in Karachi’s Surjani area, aiming to improve access to identity registration and documentation services for millions of residents.
The newly established facility features 20 one-window service counters, enabling citizens to complete a wide range of NADRA-related services under one roof. The initiative is expected to reduce waiting times and enhance the overall efficiency of public service delivery.
To ensure inclusive access, the centre includes dedicated counters for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. A spacious waiting area with a capacity of 200 people has also been established to provide greater convenience for visitors.
According to NADRA officials, the mega centre can process more than 2,000 applicants within 24 hours. The facility also houses a zonal office, allowing residents of Surjani and nearby localities to complete administrative procedures locally instead of traveling to the Ayesha Manzil office.
The new mega centre is expected to significantly improve the availability of identity registration services and provide a faster, more convenient experience for citizens across Karachi.
