The Punjab government has announced that the Rs. 7.575 billion Faisalabad–Chiniot–Sargodha Road dualization project is nearing completion, with work progressing according to schedule.
During a review meeting, Punjab Minister for Communications and Works Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth directed officials to ensure the project is completed on time while maintaining the highest construction quality standards.
According to officials, the 24-kilometer stretch from Kamalpur Interchange to Tehsil Chowk in Chiniot has entered its final phase. Asphalt paving has been completed across the entire section, while lane marking and median construction are currently in progress.
The minister said the upgraded road will provide safer, faster, and smoother travel between Faisalabad, Chiniot, and Sargodha. He added that the project is expected to improve transportation, boost trade and commercial activities, and contribute to the region’s economic development.
Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth reaffirmed the Communications and Works Department’s commitment to completing infrastructure projects on schedule as part of the Punjab government’s vision to expand a modern, efficient, and safe road network across the province.
